UKA is working in the field of renewable energies. With the ecologic generation of wind energy, UKA contributes to climate protection. Besides ecologic factors, the enterprise pays attention to long-term economic success, fair interaction with employees and social responsibility at business and project locations.
The turnaround in energy policy is a social project supported by citizens in the communities. To support citizens in a sustainable community development, the company created a public participation model that turns local people into co-partners of a public wind company and thus into active designers of the turnaround in energy policy. A lively community is a precondition for this. UKA regards itself as being responsible for promoting this. The company supports local social initiatives and organizations, including the human right center in Cottbus, the pupil academy Elbe-Elster, the Christian Scouts in Meissen, schools and numerous sports clubs.
